Unlock your Kick Serve - Progressions ✅ #tennis

Показать описание
Master your kick serve with these easy drills ⬇️:
1. Ball toss - place a target behind you and try to toss the ball to land on it consistently. This will give you the ability to get underneath the ball and even catch inside of the ball to get the ultimate kick.
2. Contact point - allow the ball to drop behind your back giving you the ability to brush up on it. Catching the ball too high only allows you to hit down on it which is fine for flat serves but not kick serves.
3. Feel the contact- the brushing effect on the ball is vital so strengthening your wrist and forearm for that spin effect will help you be more confident to do it.
4. Feel the pronation - your hand must go from a supinated to a pronated position giving you an easy way to generate racquet head speed “snap”. Brush the ball up and into your hand, you should see the ball rotating in the air.
5. Feel the trajectory - you will need to throw the hand up and put away from your body making. Stand in the boxes and practice the move over the net.
6. Feel the trajectory with racquet - use the racquet same as above to feel the trajectory of the racquet head moving up and away.
7. Kick serve from knee - eliminates the legs and encourages you to bring the ball in through racquet head speed and the correct ball trajectory.
8. Lob serve (arm) - use your arm to lob serve the ball into the box with the maximum net clearance you can do, the ball should leave up off your racquet and bend into the box, it is a spin lob.
9. Lob serve (legs) - add legs to the lob serve to give a drive up into the ball giving more height and spin.
10. Full motion - add more power and speed to the lob serve until you start seeing the ball kicking away on the bounce.
