Ummm is no one gonna question why a Muslim would claim covering your face is disrespectful to the religion? I'm so confused by that commenter's logic. I mean, even if you don't believe it's obligatory, it is without a doubt an extra level of modesty, which is praised in Islam.

Personally I am not fond of covering. It can create a hostile environment and pressure for those that dont wear it, since ppl attach values such as modesty to it. Coverage also creates some sort of contest between Muslims on who is more devout by dressing 'the correct way'.
I hope for more Muslims spreading awareness about this issue and to stop this dangerous trend that splits the Muslim communities.

i literally seen muslim girls letting try and wear hijabs to their non-muslim friends and i think it's just amazing, im a muslim myself and i don't think it's disrespectful. there are non muslim countries where women simply wear hijabs cause they like it or cause it keeps them protected from sun and heat, people should get a life and let others live.

What really irritates me is that usually the people who comment are the ones who are either not wearing a hijab or not in the same journey! Who can’t understand! People tend to forget that the hijab is for the person who wears it and Allah SWT so nobody has the right to judge and criticize because nobody truly knows the “right” way and nobody is sin-free otherwise we wouldn’t even be on this Earth.
