HowToKnit Two-color Brioche Stitch

Показать описание
Brioche stitch is a great knitting technique that produces a warm fabric that looks sort of like ribbing. Working the stitch in two colors is even more fun because you get a predominant color on each side. People often find it intimidating. Perhaps due to the yarn overs or maybe because of the abbreviations used in the pattern. Follow the video and see how easy it is to knit.

++ Techniques used in this pattern:
- Sl1yof: slip 1, yarnover, yarn to front.
- Yf sl1yo: yarn forward, slip 1 purlwise, yarnover.
- Brk: Brioche knit - also known as a bark.
- Brp: Brioche purl - also known as a burp.

Thank you to everyone for subscribing, faving, liking and commenting. Happy knitting!

Thank you so much. After weeks of looking at videos, how to, and patterns, finally I found you.
Very slow movements, no voice and written instructions I finally understand,
. Thank You

Best technique I found for flat 2-color brioche. Edges are nice and neat.

Thank you so very much for this instruction... I was growing frustrated and confused with most of tutorials using the left hand to hold the yarn... I found you, finally, and will try my best work with this stitch that has eluded me for so long... Thank you!

OMG!!! I have watched countless videos over the past couple of days trying to figure this out. I had no problem with one color, but this two-color business was giving me the blues. Finally figured out I needed a video where someone knitted like me from the beginning of the tutorial to the end. Didn’t realize that YOs are completed/read differently if you are a thrower and not a continental knitter. Someone in a FB group recommended this video to me and it was a life saver, and your written instructions are even better and easy to follow for a newb like me!!!!

I have two Nancy Marchant books sitting in front of me on my desk. Still confused after devoting the day to studying them I looked at several videos on Youtube. This video and your "Brioche Stitch Two Identical Sides" (best starting place as only one color is used) are the best instructions on brioche that I have found. Slow and clear. No audio needed. Thanks so much.

This is the best instruction video for 2 color brioche I've seen. I got the hang of it and LOVE how it looks and feels. But I kept making mistakes, frogging and repeat. Even with lifelines I tried about 15 times before giving up (for now). It's so beautiful, sigh.

Great tutorial! I was so stumped by another pattern from Bernat that really didn't explain the technique at all. I think my great niece will be very happy with this!

As always your tutorials are amazing. I actually love that there's no audio be use I'm a visual learner, so your written instructions plus the video are great.

I also cast on like this, and take a lot of shade from some of my knitter friends. :). Thanks for the vindication!
