This is the Castleton Ave. & Elizabeth St. location where James McBratney was killed by Ralph Galione, John Gotti and Angelo Ruggiero on May 22nd. 1973. McBratney an Irish American gangster was believed to have been involved in the 1972 kidnappings of Emanuel "Manny" Gambino (nephew of Carlo Gambino) and Lucchese crime family caporegime Francesco Manzo. Supposedly, for those acts he was murdered.

Actually Mcbratney had nothing to do with the kidnapping of Gambino' nephew. However, He was involved in Kidnapping other mobsters family members and was clipped for that.

Thanks for sharing this. I do like "Gotti" with Armand Assante. What I cant figure out is if witnesses saw Galione shoot, why did Gotti and Ang do time? And moreso, who identified John and Ang as they fled? Confused..
