As an Arab Christian if I ever come visit the US I would love to attend a black church service and I would be very silent and observing because I respect the culture and want to appreciate it, the singing is so beautiful

I attended glide united methodist church, under Rev Cecil Williams. I remember their choir 120 strong was a mixture of white, black, Mexican, Asian singing black gospel music. Robin Williams, Sharon stone and other celebrities attending service there alone . with homeless and wealthy people . I took jews and Muslim veterans friend of mines one Sunday after that we broke bread together in the soup kitchen many other
I can tell it was a spiritual experience I'll never forget. singing praise to Lord. I wish I could find their archive of videos for last 20 years. I heard Rev Williams is 92 years and his wife a Japanese American Jan past away.

Back in the 70’s, I was part of the MLK Fellowship Ensemble in NYC. We used to sing for tourists every week. They loved Gospel Music!
No cell phones back then so they had to use cameras. Great experiences & Memories.
I met loads of folk from all over the world.
