4 Car Engine Misconceptions I'm Tired of Hearing...V14's are practically impossible still, V6's aren't slow, V12's aren't the fastest engine ever and watch the video to find out more about my thoughts and details about various stupid car misconceptions! These Fake Car Facts need to stop spreading! Very stupid car myths! These are all Stupid things Car Guys say! If you know you know. I'm just bloating this desc with beeg yoshi levels of stupid words just to get the algae of rhythm to get the memo, do you catch my drift? You understand the deets I'm laying down? I'm sorry but mfs come into comments like 'mathematician here' like they're a doctor or engineer 😂😭 ik he's right but we get it bro you paid a lot for your degree 😂

The AMG One has a V6, and it sure as hell isn't lame!

The v6 has to be the most versatile engine layout to ever exist. It has been offered from small hatchbacks to pickups to trucks and vans all the way up to supercars and even modern f1 cars.

For people who say v6 engines aren't worthy of a supercar tuning platform, may I present to you the vr38dett

I love how lotus took an economy motor and disguised it to the unassuming viewer as a performance motor

"V6s are lame" mfs when the 3800 starts burbling like a small block:

You had a perfect opportunity to mention that F1 also uses V6 engines

Just to further argue against "big displacement numbers scary", my last car was a Subaru STI, with the infamous 2.5L 4-cylinder, and it could barely manage 24mpg on a good day if I really tried hard to hypermile it. I traded that in for a Camaro with that same 6.2L V8 you mentioned (yes, I know it's tuned differently than the Corvette version). Despite being more than double the displacement size and 150 HP more, it easily gets 30mpg without really trying.

I really wish we could unify vehicle emissions laws and base them entirely around a vehicle's weight, and eliminate stupid "chicken tax" type import laws.

A Engine misconception in India is that every engine *requires* a carborator

3:15 as an engineer, this is the perfect example of theory vs practical applications (AKA physics vs engineering). Excellent explanation :)

Hearing a V9 would definitely be a experience I need to hear. I sometimes think that they will probably sound between a V8 but have that drone sound in deceleration like a V6.

Honestly, biggest problem with v14 is that the v12 is very close and it has perfect primary and secondary balance, without a pair of balancing shafts, so it's a lot of headace for no real benefit

Someone saying "Mathematician here" then demonstrating exactly why engineering is a completely separate degree is always fun. Sure mathematically it makes sense to use 8 decimal places to balance an engine, but to do that you need to ignore things like THE ENTIRE FIELD OF MATERIALS SCIENCE, and machining tolerances, the physics of dynamic systems, and manufacturing tolerances.

When Lotus has been continuously calling up Toyota to put their 2gr in whatever new creation they come up with, that's how you know v6s are pretty chill.

Not to mention that some V6s are just their V8 counterparts, with two cylinders removed from the block - lookin' at you, GM 4.3L V6 (my beloved).

Bro named more than one v6 supercar (did research) spent a fat minute proving his self. Good video. Subscribed.

The engine doesn't care how you measure the circle, it still needs to go around twice for each power stroke.

What most people don't understand about the emissions era in the mid 70s on up is a lot of those cars would only require minimal work to achieve acceptable power numbers, the trans am from 1975-1981 is a perfect example of that Pontiac kept it going as long as they could, also you have to understand lead was taken out of gas and you need the lead to lubricate the valves on the high performance motors from the 60s and early 70s, so the later cylinder heads are not required to run leaded fuel making them better for street use today, however over 50 years aftermarket companies have been innovating and producing modern cylinder heads (also everything else) that are leagues ahead of what was made back then

“Not as many grocery getters use V8’s”
All those Tahoes, Yukons, F150’s, and Silverados are all V8 powered grocery getters. 😂
