Nurse March in Washington DC - National Nurses in May 2022

Participated in the first National Nurses March in Washington DC on May 12th! Over 10,000 people participated. We’re uniting and standing up for our rights in better & safe patient ratios, fighting for protection against violence towards healthcare workers, and for better pay.
Many of us have one foot out the door as a nurse, but still want to help fix the field for the future nurses out there who will be taking care of us one day!

This event has been planned since February! There was police escort for our safety. We marched from the White House to Capitol Hill then to Audi Field. (Personally I left the March before Audi field to be a tourist & eat lunch)
Overall it was a great experience & I know it’s just the beginning. Nurses have kept the peace & stayed quiet for too long; we’re now making our voices heard and will make change for all of us!
