Thanks for the video!
Just on the docker-compose point: the reason why it is not recommended to use docker-compose / CasaOS / ... is because while it technically work (you can set the network mode to host in dc and privileged:True), Cosmos sometime needs to update itself (mostly when it open / closes ports on its own container). If you used an external tool to start Cosmos, those tools will revert any change Cosmos does on itself, causing it to restart in loop.
While this is a lot less of an issue since 0.14 (because it now runs in host mode) it can still happen if you didn't start Cosmos in host mode (some people don't) hence why the warning is still there

This is interesting, to me Cosmos sounds like a Docker Manager with reverse proxy built in, specially with that URLs section, I wonder if this can replace NGINX PM.

Have you tried 05:56 to use domain instead of localhost/IP address? I wanna know if there's port forwarding involve.

One thing I like at get go is to access the UI you don't need to add the :port since its using 80/443 by default, I can easily manage the local DNS in pihole.

There is also another Interesting docker manager called: Dockge. Is portainer about to get obsolete?

Great Vid by the way.

Can I use this as only a server manager like Portainer? Without handing over ports 80:443 from Traefik or NPM

Hi and thanks for sharing a video about this awesome application! I love cosmos-server and it´s features like included reverse proxy. At the moment using Let´s Encrypt doens´t work if there is a full DNS Server (authoritative and recursive > I use Technitium DNS) in the homelab with the zone that is named like the domain you want certificates for. In Version 0.16 of cosmos-server there should be the oprion to choose a separate IP for DNS-Server in the Let´s Encrypt process, so I am looking forward to new version.

10:14 if I deploy this tool on my home server, will it collect logs only from the Cosmos application, or will it also gather logs from the server itself? I've been experiencing issues with my Ubuntu home server crashing every few days, and while a reboot helps temporarily, I want to understand the root cause. I'm currently seeking a logging tool to help diagnose the problem. Would this tool serve my purpose? Thanks!

Thank you for creating this video! Would you say Cosmos is a better solution for docker management/running a media server than CasaOS is?

Unfortunately, Cosmos Server does not seem to run on macOS. It's a pity, because I would like to operate my old Mac as a server.
