Thank you!
This was exactly what I needed to see. Left the DevOps world back in 2012 and have regained an interest to deploy systems using Docker.

Important installing it in Synology NAS:
Install it via command (e.g. over ssh, or via task scheduler), don't do it in the UI via the Docker app! (Else your local environment won't show up.)
I also removed "-p 8000:8000" as I already use that port for something else and I don't need it for Portainer.

Hi, this is new to me. I'm trying to have 1 cloud server in aws lightsail and install portrainer.
i want to do the following things
1) Install a webserver in one container
2) install and manage wordpress in another container
3) Run a openvpn and use the server as a vpn sometimes

My questions is can i do all these using portainer and if i have like 2 different websites in seperate conatiners since the ip of server is same if i point both my domains will they automatically load or do i need to configure reverse dns or mapping or something like that.
Help is appreciated

why on earth would you
1) expose portainer to the outside world
2) show everyone your public ip with portainer on it
