Definitely agree that the detective aspect of Flashpoint Beyond is all over the place - but, as you said, Thomas isn't the "world's greatest detective" - he's more of a strategist and blunt weapon (at least according to the original Flashpoint story), so in a weird way it all seems to make sense.

Well Martha Wayne felt predictable because I believe John's wants you to think that. There are several hints toward Dr. Manhattan and I'm digging the story. Martha has her fingers in the plate but not the main villain. The question is who brought Martha back. How did aquaman know. Who wacked reverse flash. I'm all in.

I hope we'll know what "trapping a timeline" is. I mean, the Time Trapper is this interesting being who is never adequately explained because that would ruin the cosmic horror. But that depends on DC actually caring about the Legion.
