In the building menu, if you hover over the repair menu and select “upgrade to sturdy wood” you can click on anything you have built with the building hammer and upgrade it to a stronger type of wood. (Requires you to have materials like plastic and/or wood depending on what you are upgrading)

Instead of worrying about breaking poles, use the sideways poles so you don’t have to have poles in the middles of rooms

put the windmill on the 3rd floor, near the trees and the batteries get charged in around 2 minutes, as opposed to 6 min on ground level

FYI, you can chuck hinges, bolts and I think metal ingots into the trash compacters and it gives the equivalent of almost an entire trash cube.

Kinda old but you can farm titanium and wood in the giant floating city every single tree is chopable in the city and there's a couple rooms that you can unlock with the shipping crate puzzle that gives you around 6-9 ores also you can either put a roof over your crops or get an advanced scarecrow to stop seagulls from eating your crop

You need to get all of the traders stuff and there are some other really cool things you can build and I think you should do that!
