Only downside i saw using this is the nodes or pen tool. Compare to illlustrator its quick to use pentool. U can adjust the cusp while doing your tracing and not canceling it. In corel its slow. U trace it and then do the refining afterwards

Hi, great tutorial. Could you explain how gravity snapping works. For example I assumed that if I held N while using the shape tool, it would only snap to Node. Doesn't seem to work as I expected. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi Allen.. I am not an artist but need to create a logo with text for our local church league softball team. I can’t bring myself to pay $500 for Coreldraw and can’t seem to bring myself to subscribe to Photoshop and could use some help. Do you know of an alternative software that would be more reasonable or logical to my needs?

One thing I hate about coreldraw is that you can't select one of the shape tools and click punch in the dimensions of a shape and the shape is created lik Ai. You have to click and drag. So if the shape is not exact you have to go back and realize it again unlike Ai. More annoying is that the shape after realize will not have 100% scale very annoying 🙄
