About Noel Gallagher:
Noel Gallagher was the main songwriter, lead guitarist and occasional lead vocalist of Oasis, one of the biggest and most loved bands ever to emerge from the UK. His band played a tremendous role in shaping and inspiring contemporary guitar music from the 1990’s onwards. Noel’s continued success with the High Flying Birds cements his position as one of the most prolific and successful British songwriters of the last 50 years.

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds first emerged in 2011 with their eponymous album released in October of that year. The album went double platinum in the UK and has sold over 2.5 million copies worldwide. The release of the debut album was supported by a touring schedule covering 150 live shows in 32 countries.

This was followed by ‘Chasing Yesterday’, released in March 2015 - the first album to be produced as well as written by Noel, with 122 further shows in 28 countries.

A third album, ‘Who Built The Moon?’, was recorded in sessions spanning 2 years with renowned producer and composer David Holmes in Belfast and London released in November 2017.

There followed a series of multi-genre EPs released over the course of 2019 and 2020, all receiving high critical acclaim.

June 2021 saw the release of ‘Back The Way We Came: Vol 1 (2011-2021)’ - a Best Of celebrating a decade of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds. This was the bands 4th consecutive Number 1 album and the 12th Number 1 album across Noel’s career. 2021 also saw Noel named as Record Store Day’s official ambassador.

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds played Glastonbury’s Pyramid stage in June 2022, delivering a career-spanning set to one of the weekend’s biggest crowds. The show was the culmination of a summer of acclaimed sold-out outdoor venues across the UK.

Fast forward to 2023 and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds are looking ahead to their much anticipated fourth studio album, ‘Council Skies’, due for release 2nd June. From the evocative album title to the cover art, to the lyrics themselves, ‘Council Skies’ sees Noel Gallagher bringing a more personal perspective, reclaiming his past and paying homage to his Mancunian roots. His most varied and accomplished solo record to date, Noel’s new album is a record framed by confidence, risk-taking, surefooted creative freedom, and great emotional depth.

The first singles taken from the album - ‘Pretty Boy’ and ‘Easy Now’ - were met with a hail of critical and commercial success by fans and media alike. ‘Pretty Boy’ has also been remixed by The Cure’s Robert Smith, taking the track to a new spaced-out dimension.

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds commence touring in early June 20023 with a 26 date USA co-headline tour with Garbage before returning to the UK an extensive run of outdoor venues including a huge homecoming show at Manchester’s Wythenshawe Park before closing the year with an arena tour in December.

In my opinion one of the best solo songs Noel has done and Jack O’Connell one of the best actors in the UK

This song is so good, I think artists should always push their audience's boundaries and do whatever the hell they want. Like this has completely kept its relevancy in 2024 atm. It's just a timeless tune,

This is honestly one of the coolest songs of all time. That jump into the chorus is just amazing!

It's a brilliant dance tune. I love it. Give the man a break. He's written the best music in our era and now everyone is slating him for taking a different direction. There's no pleasing certain people. There will always be the ones who say oh, he keeps making the same type of music for 30 years and there are the ones who now say oh this new stuff is rubbish. I personally love it and I'm thankful that he has the balls to release it, even though he knows that a lot of oasis fans will hate it. If you don't like it, that's fine. Let us enjoy it without constantly hearing you moan!

*”ok guys get a close up of him refusing to do the video and we’ll put it to the music”*

We must see Noel like a scientist, a searcher... he is definitely a great artist. He has to explore totally his music. I’m a huge fan of oasis and the 90’s. I must recognize he try to make a new kind of sound and it’s different but it still good...

Is it Oasis? No. Who cares? It’s still catchier and better written than most people could. Thank you Noel

Noel made the songs that I'd like to listen in the last three decades. Thank you God!!! I feel blessed!

This looks like something between Depeche Mode and Pet Shop Boys and with a little Tame Impala mood...
I really loved it.

I love how NG keeps pushing his (and his audience’s) boundaries. With each solo record, he’s moved deeper into a more dance/electronic/soundscape direction. The singles he’s put out since Who Built The Moon are some of his most ambitious work. I know he’s alienated some old time fans, but I love his new stuff. His songwriting and his vocals are just getting better and better.

This man is so far ahead of everything else it’s unbelievable
His lyrics remain so blissfully simple and he is simply getting better all the time

"The deeper that you get, the more that you'll regret" (that part sounds a lot like U2). Great tune; Noel is doing what he wants to do, and he is doing amazing things.

"some of us bleeding and some of us needing to find a way"

I hope everyone out there listening to this while fighting for their life will survive through whatever hellfire you'll face.

May the secret you found in your pocket will remain untold!
(and this song really gunna sound real good in some video games...)

Noel gets better with age, like fine wine. He is vintage, yet his music sounds new and hip :)

Have to admit, it’s the best track he’s released in a fair amount of time and it’s actually really good, that hook and drop are great

I'm not the biggest fan but its Important that Noel sticks with doing what he wants. Experimenting is important for any true artist. Staying true to himself
