I like the subtle hints telling other "reviewers" to go learn their stuff before making videos. Having measuring devices doesn't make you a professional if you don't know what you're measuring.
I appreciate that you take the time to learn the technical aspects of how the technology works, specially relating to HDR, and relay it to your viewers in an understandable but not overly simplified way.
That's why I watch your reviews even when I have no intention of buying most products.
Thanks Vincent.

Yes, finally THE Definitive G1 Review we have all been waiting for. I'm saving this video for tonight. Thank you Vincent, humor aside, we all appreciate your expert knowledge and scientific method.

You're pretty much the only reviewer that mentions near-black handling, which is crucial for cinephiles. Thank you. Also your joke was cut short at 9:28.

Superb review. Now I'm crossing my fingers that you'll be receiving an A90J sooner rather than later for comparison. I'm also extremely eager to see your take on this year's Mini-LED flagships (QN90A, QN900A) and how they stack up against conventional FALD sets (X95J, Z9J) and OLED.

12:10 this is what im trying to explain to everyone! 300 nits will still look like 300 nits! If a image is mastered to be 300 nits it will not be over 300 on a g1. The only time you will see perceptual difference, is in high brightness mastered scenes in some films. Some people out there seem to think this g1 is some kind of magic blanket that will make everything brighter. And just because it can do 20% brighter, the times you see it will not justify replacing a cx to a g1. Its pointless in my opinion. Im not updating because it wouldnt be much of an upgrade. Also, i would say just get a sony a90j, but, no vrr? Whifhnis something us gamers look for by the way! Its very important! But instead, they add all these useless upgrades most of us will just disable. The one upgrade LG did this year, they have pre sets for game mode. Lol thats it?? A new gui, and a couple small upgrades here and there.. i dunno. I really am not as exited for LG or sony this year.. sony really let me down with no VRR. At the same time, i am glad that the CX is sill going to remain a fan favorite for a long time yet.

17:06 The funniest joke I have ever heard on this channel, I literally laughed out loud omg. Laughed even harder since I was an Arsenal fan. Truly the GOAT of tv reviewers.

Great review Vincent. I’m feeling much better about purchasing the GX after your video. The fringe perks of the the G1 sound nice but not worth the $500 price upgrade over the GX. Thanks again!

Love the video and information . YOUR Integrity and knowledge is always the best especially on youtube, which is a haven for misinformation.
Thanks Vincent.

First reviewer to actually show where the feet are. Everyone else made you think they mounted at the vesa points. Thank you Vincent, I can at least measure now to see how I'm going to install it.

Bought LG 55E9 in November 2020 and never regret it, higher peak britghness (calibrated 820 nits) full HDMI 2.1 with DTS. Now You have to pay premium for G1, no way!

What we need is to see a comparison between the G1 & C1 to see is worth paying the extra money for the 20% brightness increase

I'll be getting a 77/83 inch G2 when it launches next year. My 65C9 can live for another year. I really like how G series looks on a wall. Absolutely insane with no gap. I need that in my life.

Since it‘s a TV most interesting for gamers could you do a game mode side by side comparison between the GX and the G1 with beta firmware with a bright game like Forza Horizon 4?

Just got my CX65OLED on Friday, spent my whole weekend playing on it with my RTX 3080. I never found a flaw and I am so amazed and happy, I see no reason to upgrade or feel like I have FOMO compared to this.. it was a massive upgrade coming from even a 3 year old Philips 4K that had so many faults. The OLED is priceworthy when you compare the experience. I really can't recommend it enough, it transformed my gaming experience for real. I spent 20 hours in witcher 3 this weekend just hooked. I really hope everyone in the near future can experience an OLED while gaming on 4K with 60+ FPS.
