I feel it's also worth pointing out that if something that is considered to be "supernatural" was somehow found to be something that could be observed and measured quantitatively, it would immediately cease to be supernatural and move into the realm of the natural, by definition.

It's not the secondary suspect, creationism is the weirdo in the corner, who screams "I did it". But when you ask so how did you do it, they answer "my god did it with MAGIC".

"But HOW did god do it" is the question that made me an atheist. When the answer was always some version of "magic", I wasn't going to buy that nonsense. I was about 12 or 13 then, in the mid 1950s. The answers are still "magic"

I'm biased against creation because of it's complete lack of evidence and inclusion of things which don't comport with reality.

My father was a devout Catholic his whole life.
He was also a Secondary school (high school) teacher and ultimately a University Lecturer.

The thing is, he really valued education and would have been horrified at the idea of religious "science" being taught as actual science.

To be honest, he would have been horrified by the current creationist pushback, because it is irrational.

I have a 3d printer and am making face shields as we speak. I'm volunteering through a local 3d printing company that is coordinating distribution in the Madison, WI area. If anyone is in Southern Wisconsin and has a 3d printer let me know and I'll connect you with my contacts. I've also reached out to someone in Central Wisconsin and I know there's a group in Provo, UT doing similar work. Masks, face shields, ventilator parts, etc, are all in very high demand and short supply right now, basically everywhere. Don't let your printing capacity and skills go to waste.
