Thanks for posting this and keeping people informed. I'm sure there are quite a few people around here that are very grateful to have had you represent them in self-defense cases. One question I have is based on issues I've seen in other states: I have a CCW permit for a handgun, but I also carry a small pocket knife as a tool. In the event that I had to use my handgun to defend myself, would it be likely that a prosecutor might try to use the fact that I also carry a knife as a counter to my claim of using the gun in self-defense?

Here in Indiana I was told by the cops that you have the right to protect your kingdom and if someone breaks into your house and you feel threatened then shoot to kill because that way they can't say I was drunk and had the wrong house. Like they say dead men don't talk.

One thing that disturbs me is that the legislators have changed the balances of the law to elevate police officers that unlawfully enter a home, to a more protected status than any other intruder.
If they identify themselves while they're protecting and serving the shit out of you, you cannot lawfully defend yourself

If someone breaks into your home and clearly has a weapon starts to raise it. And you the home owner puts a bullet in the intruders knee cap is that self defense??? Not trying to take a life just make them drop their weapon
