Bought a Kei Greene program once. There was soo many reps i basically needed to bodyweight and just a barbell for leg day 😂

Dr Mike 100% right i was doing 12 sets for triceps and biceps i stopped and now only do 8 sets I am gaining More and moving up in weight

4 sets(8-10 reps) of Sldl a week. I also do 4 to 6 sets of leg curls a week. I agree with the dr.

I'm 34 now, been training on and off since I was 15. I'm the strongest I ever been because I cut out junk volume and focused on technique, intensity and progressive overload. Those cookie cutter plans you find online are usually shit. You need to earn more volume by progressing slowly and tracking all your numbers and exercises.

Everytime I took a break off the gym when I was doing gvt type workouts, 10x10s etc I came back stronger and bigger and happier. Now I was working out so much for other reasons than just effectively training my body but this is good advice.

I wouldn’t say they’re doing too much I would say that individuals vary and those at the peak of bodybuilding know what works best for them

Last time I did 3 sets of 10 RDLs, I felt like I was going to die during the last set, and for a long while after finishing.

Dude i literally only strength train once, twice or MAYBE 3 times a week . And that 3rd time is a rare time. Doing less has worked out more way better than when id spend hours in the gym!

I'm probably ignorant. Do different muscles, or muscle groups have different set metrics (number of sets) assuming good form and effort?

Using stiff legs as noted in the reel.

I'll do 4 sets of 12 on squats.... Should I not do the same for stiff deads?

i admit i could be wrong, but i've always thought that if you can do 4 sets of anything without feeling like you're at failure, then you aren't using enough weight. Regardless, rest is fucking important. No reason to do extra training if you're ignoring rest.

nah i rather listen to jay cutler on this, volume is king. Has been for me too. 20 sets atleast for push and pull days.

Ive been doing 2 working sets of Stiff Legged Deadlifts twice per week and it has broken me. I'm doing 2 weeks deload/active recovery at the moment and in my next Meso i'lll be dropping the SLDLs to just 2 sets per week. I'll do more hamsteing curls instead. 🤣
