As a software developer I can say that companies almost never care about code optimization. Always the rush to run to market as quick as possible, with people that almost never understands completely the codebase or the whole goal, resulting in even more unoptimized code... I bet that android OS must have a MASSIVE unoptimized code leaking useless processing for no reason other than poor code

2:03 Did anyone notice that it was written Salaxy instead of Galaxy

Well that was the most unless information I've seen. Basically everything kills the battery and there's not much you can do.

What’s REALLY killing your smartphones battery life?

Answer: Watching too many Android Authority videos

2:21 Looks like someone didn't proofread the chart. "Salaxy S20 Ultra" and "OePlus 8 Pro"? And that's even with Galaxy and OnePlus already spelled out in other entries.

2:15 There is one huge flaw with this test, phones are rarely if ever used in such a way where you would be pushing them to 100% load until they die and of course if you take a slower but more power efficient processor (SD 670) and put it under a full load while also having a smaller display, surprise it's going to give a comparatively impressive battery life, but here's the thing the extra performance in the ROG isn't worthless in terms of battery life, it allows the phone to immediately scale up clock speed to open your apps or whatever then scale back down to idle quicker which some people think is more efficient than having a lower clock speed or slower processor do that same task for a longer period of time because it allows the phone sit near idle more often which isn't a factor here.

I recently shifted from iOS to Android and in the beginning I was a bit skeptical about switching to a whole different OS but now by each passing day I realize how good the Android OS is and I'm loving it!

My P30 Pro does have excellent battery life, but I've never experienced the overzealous killing of apps which some complain about.

me: *watches this video*
*looks at 7T with 90hz, live wallpapers, 300~ apps, and max brightness 24/7*
it'll be fine

Honestly just restrict apps from running in the background if you don't need them to be running all the time. Especially games, Chrome, the Google app and Facebook have made a massive difference for me.

IMO software is the most important factor. After that it's components used and features available.
Look at how the Pixel 4XL beats OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro in the Speed Test G test with:
- a generation older CPU (still the same 800 series, a bit slower, but less power efficient)
- smaller battery
- same (compared to OP8) or lower refresh rate (cmp. to OP8Pro) screen
with a higher (cmp. to OP8) or the same (cmp. to OP8Pro) resolution
- (probably) Motion Sense turned on, which consumes power all the time
