Reliability and dependability are important to me I have owned a BMW and it was in the shop once or twice a year besides the scheduled maintenance so when the warranty was up I got rid of it I have a Lexus 2019 RX 350 F sport and I have had not a problem from it not even a recall. Thank you.

lexus RX should be compared with BMW X5, not with X3!! If you want compare with X3 you need to take Lexus NX!

I had a BMW until its heater core exploded on my leg. Then it was recalled for the same reason. Between my experience with BMW and Mercedes I'll stick with the Lexus.

The BMW's moonroof cover should have been closed for the interior noise test. All that glass can let in a lot of noise.

The RX and the X3 aren't even direct competitors though...

The BMW competitor to the RX is the X5, while the Lexus competitor to the X3 is the NX.

I agree with Tommie. I drive an SUV for comfort and utility. Been driving my 2010 RX since it was brand new. Eight years later and a bit over 100, 000 miles on it with not a single issue and drives like new still. I like the zen atmosphere of my RX that everyone else equates with boring. LOL!

The noise test is misleading because the X3 had the sunroof shade open and it appears the Lexus' sunshade was closed. I have an X5 and it is noticably quieter on the road with the sunshade closed.

Growing up I loved BMW. As I grew in wisdom I appreciated toyota/Lexus for their bullet-proof design and longevity. That's why as an adult, I now proudly can say I work for and sell Lexus. I would never give BMW a thought, unlike my child self.

Wow. The BMW X3 has come a long way. Back in the day, when my mother bought her 2006 X3 brand new, it could not keep up with my ex's 2006 Rav4 limited V6. But then again, 220hp inline 6, vs a 269hp V6. The Rav4 had a slight edge.

You could keep the RX350 for 10 years or more without any problems, the BMW is only for short term ego boost then sell it.
