Old games are so scary in the night.
But also some ugly dark elf in Oblivion that want to speak to you in most dark moment of the day. Damn

In my favorite playthrough I had contracted a disease from a rat bite, so I traveled to Daggerfall to get treatment. But the Assassin's Guild was after me for rejecting their offer and ambushed me in the streets - in the ensuing fight I accidentally killed a civilian so the guards attacked. Then night fell so ghosts started to spawn, and suddenly it became a chaotic three-way brawl between endless waves of guards, ghosts, and assassins spawning in then attacking each other. I climbed a building and spent the entire night hopping from rooftop to rooftop avoiding enemies as the city descended into madness around me, until eventually I got far enough away to rest. When I awoke, a notification informed me that a plague had swept through the city because of the disease I carried in killing almost everyone. The streets had become a mass grave, and I spent the next few hours looting the entire population of Daggerfall then bought myself a castle.

You just don't get that type of experience in later Elder Scrolls games.

The logical next step after Morrowind is Daggerfall I suppose, when we reach Arena then we are truly lost
