In signed arithmetic the range is (-2^n-1-1) to+(2^n-1-1)

Ma'am when you added -6(1010) with -7(1011) then you got +5(0101), so my question is that here we have 4 bits and our range is in between -8 to +7 as +5 lies in this range so how are you saying this is overflow? Please reply me

Mam, if we take 9 and 8 in 8 bits representation...In that case overflow occurs or not?
