No More AFK Grinding Research points in War Thunder

War Thunder Simulator is a mode where you can get insane amounts of grinding done for jets like the F14 Tomcat, With Tier 8 announced it looks like gaijin is going to nerf RP gain in simulator because of the people who abuse the mode and AFK farm and Bot. Hopefully they can fix it where you can make more RP soon.

The whole point of Sim for me was to dump a lot of time into one aircraft or tree to gain RP. There really isn't a drive to play sim if the RP gain isn't there.

i have know this for a year now and i have seen how the bots have been changed both in SIM and Naval. Before the F-14 was added is was hunting bot players and it was the most fun thing getting around 40 kills per game and getting the most angry chat messages for the people. Its good to see someone talking about it, SIM has been getting a little love as of late but not allot.

botting is also happening in air rb. quite incredible. Ive seen quite a few harrier bots now where the ai just end up going to the corner of the map and hovers there or space climbs.

These bots in RB can almost tank an entire team if you are unlucky enough to get multiple on one team. Its insane that its gotten to this point entirely.

I don't think bots are bad. Bad bots are bad. Good bots could provide a lot of value to the game. All the npc units could be made to play the game intelligently. We could have amazing huge EC battles populated by high quality fully modeled AI units.

I may be unique here but even with reduced rewards I find grinding in SIM just better. ARB in top tier is just insane, it's like a death match in a 8x8 room with sniperifles. Sim is just chill and I actually really enjoy low level flight over the maps with mountains and valleys and hunting for the bases. Grinding in Sim is just better for my mental health than in ARB even if it's not as efficient.

sim is the mode were i killed the most teammates intentionally, all of them being bots. i know this only hurts myself, but it makes me feel better so its worth it

The solution is very basic and it's to implement a normal idle/afk detector that most games have but they always prefer the way that harms players experience the most

My main drive to play sim was to do as much as possible to get as much Rp as possible while also having fun at a slower pace than air rb and now there's less of an incentive for me to play because a certain subset of players decided to ruin it for everyone else

The best way to kill bot is reducing AA efficiency over airfield. And give spawn protection for player loading, as they did in grb, with removing Spawn protection zone.

There should be something like hypixel report system, like if you're above lvl 50 or something you can review reports replays and if you think the person is actually cheating the replay goes on to admins for final review, if the guy was actually cheating you get something inbreturn like some sl or a small ammount of GE

got 90k RP last night spending an hour and a half bombing/getting air to air kills with my SU-25k. Ill take it, and no one was AFK so it was fun

Botting will always exist so long as Gaijin continues to create their bs nerfs to the match gains just to try and force people to spend more money, sim will always be used to grind as they can't effectively kill it they have tried. They cant even kill the bots al it will do is make them spread the bots out so they can kill them one right after another simple bypass to their nerf.
