Hey I really like the transparency. The problem that is often repeated by many doing awards is that the testing is barely talked about and differences in expectations produce big problems as a consumer.

Setting the bar straight from the bat was appreciated and I gave it my like. Also I like how your specifically talked about the exclusion of the Xperia 1 ii because there are a lot of vocal fans in this community. I'm glad it shows you know your audience.

Kudos Android Authority, good stuff 👍

Nice to see LG get some love. I think they really have been trying to stay relevant in the smartphone game.

I think the best phone I got this year is a phone from last year and still one of the best phones for the price
I'm talking about OnePlus 7t
Great phone with great processor
And super fast charge
And the camera is great you just need to install the Gcam app and your pictures will be alout better

modern flagship all share the exact same hardeware features, so the choice of the best is merely a personal preference, so :
want a stock Android : get a Pixel
a pro camera ? get a Sony or LG
quick charge ? get a Xiaomi or Oppo
and so on, so it is a matter of personal preference

So I basically switched from android to iPhone for the first time and never going back, so to begin with had no idea videos from this channel kept showing up on my feed.
But the truth is, your videos are informative and interesting, also quite honest .
And unlike the usual android fanboys who all they do is shit on iPhones out of ignorance and biases you don’t do that, you give real info and like I said in an interesting enough way.
So despite the specific android targeted channel I decided to sub anyways, learning something new is always a plus.

I give it to the testing for the smartphones but, just today Tech Utopia released a video showing that Antutu (one of the most popular benchmarking apps) isn't telling us the whole story. The Kirin 820 has a ARM Mali-G57 (MP6) while the Mediatek 820 has the MP5 but, Antutu was saying the MP5 was faster than the MP6. Both phones have 1080p screens and yes the MTK 820 has 4X 2.6GHz A76 HP cores while the Kirin maxes out at 2.36GHz but, when running a actual game like Madout City 2 or World War Heroes for example (that have an in-game FPS counter) can be very difficult to run at max settings. The Mali-G57-MP6 was faster than the MP5. Big surprise right... I just don't think a benchmark says it all. But, it can be a way to measure performance to a certain extent.
Also half of a phones features are subjective, as said in the video. But, i think a phone should be rated on how many features it has or baseline 5 to 10 main features should be took into consideration. Like choosing between a new mid-ranger or older flagship. If gaming is important, then a older flagship is the way to go. Or screen quality. Not to long ago i learned that LG's V40 and V50 finally got ROOT access thanks to LG and the guys over at XDA so I picked up a brand new Unlocked LG V40 for $250. When i say brand new, i mean brand new. This specific LG V40 was manufactured in Dec.2019 as a replacement for lost or stolen phones. I guess when you have a 2 year warranty on top of a 1 year, your going to need replacement phones. That's another point. No one ever talks about warranties or how you can gain an extra 2 years just by registering your phone within 90 days of purchase with LG. There warranty is as good as there audio.
I also found the screen to be of high quality. Another feature most overlook. A screen can also be subjective. The same screen can get 2 different opinions. Also price is a big considersation. I'm a audiophile so audio is number 1, then the screen. I have hawk eyes and can tell the difference between a 1080p, 2K or 3K screen. So another point goes to the V40 for me. When reading and watching video's it's nice to have that extra resolution. Which is adjustable. Color and sharpness options are there too. I really couldn't be happier with a 2year old flagship that was actually 6 month's old when i bought it. It also came with a $60 Otterbox case/clip along with a pair of LG Tone Pro's. A excellent deal and it didn't break anybody's piggy bank. I have money to buy a $1000 phone but, I'll never pay that. I don't mind waiting a year or two and then buying a older (new) flagship. I just bought an Unlocked LG V40 because i need a phone i can swap sims in. This V40 was manufactured in Dec.2019 and was brand new for $250. It even came with a pair of $100 pair of LG Tone Pro Platinum's and a $60 Otterbox case. The is fast and i've had no issues with any games i've thrown at it. and i throw alot. Since it has ROOT i was able to overclock it with the ROG Phone 1 2.96GHz clock mod. That's on 4 A75/Kryo cores. It keeps up wit the 855. The Adreno 630 has 512ALUS's and i clocked'em to 725MHz locked at full load. It doesn't throttle what so ever. Great travel phone and little gamer. Though, the V50 does have a 4000mAh battery and Vapor Chamber with the SD855 SOC I couldn't see paying twice the price just for such little upgrades. The V50 did just drop to $350 though, at the time it was $500. I knew the 7TPro was coming out so i waited for that. 6.68in Samsun AMOLD with out notch 90Hz 3K and the 1Teraflop Adreno 640+. Yup that all you need really. Heck the Adreno 630 in the V40 was doing just well for me. It was holding top framerates in any game i through at it. Just putting in my 2cents. Everyone's got an opinion. But there is a fact or two in there also....
