I have a Granite rock that has several Quartz inclusions (because Granite can change to Quartz with pressure and temperature increases) the Quartz forms in the shapes of '2' at different areas of the rock, which is smoothed by traveling down stream. There is also a '3' but I believe this is a doubled '2'. I have never seen or heard of this, but nobody is interested in this?

These formations are not unusual at all! Hike around Lake Powell Utah and the neighboring areas. You will see things just like this all over the place.

In a few years time, we'll be trying to work out if geological features are natural Mars, or man made - rover grind!
