Both are worth it from my perspective. You can eat AYCE quantities for 1/3 of the price st the conveyor. A good omakase usually starts at $150 minimum where I live, so $100 is a good deal in comparison.

A sushi conveyor belt costs $3.50 per plate in America and they make you get 15 plates before getting a prize 😭 I miss Japan so much. But the prizes cost $3.50 if you wanna just buy one without spending plates but that takes the fun out of it

I literally got both types when I was in Japan in February.. kura sushi sushi chain $1 sushi is really nice for the price and a great chain! (prob best chain) the $100 dollar is incredible, mind bending stuff 🤯❤

I can't say I've had sushi that was quite $1 yet, but I did have ¥300 sushi near Tokyo station last night and it was surprisingly good! Not the freshest I've had, but better than pretty much anything from back in the UK still

The best thing I've had in Japan was an A5 Wagyu steak, that was delicious in ways I didn't know food could be 🤤 That was ¥30, 000 including drinks and the other courses, and it was worth every penny!

OMG a kura opened near me (in the US) recently and it is so delightful, good sushi, not terribly expensive, little to no human interaction, and a gacha gimmick??? hell yeah!!!! 😂
