This is a Fully Charged exclusive! Not something that has ever happened before.
We present the prototype Schaeffler Bio-Hybrid personal transport system. A pedal assist car? A four wheeled bike?
So easy to move along and just enormous fun to drive/ride. Let's hope they develop this into a fully fledged product.

Many people would take one of these to work, we definitely need these to be promoted.

Just found out that the company went bankrupt. I was waiting for this product to come to the Philippines. This would've been a hit.

That roof going behind the seat is some fine engineering

Of the dozens of single passenger electrics I've seen, I think this takes the top spot. It's rare in that it looks sleek rather than quirky. Very minimalist. That roof mechanism is genius. And there's something about the wheel size and design. Think I'm gonna note this as one to watch

This video made me so happy. I really enjoyed seeing how much fun Robert had. The roof stowing is ace too!

I’m really sick of watching cool prototypes and nothing coming of them.

I understand the roof would look inadequate to a habitual car user. However I've ridden miles with wet glasses; rain running down my collar despite scarf; and eventually permeating my cagoule zip. Verily I do say — in conjunction with the blatant requirement for sensible outdoor clothing — this torso-roof will be a God-sent shelter, to the happy user of the machine.

Subscribed years ago to support Mr Lewellyn, after seeing him look a bit forlorn in Carpool (which as it turns out, became a genre-defining gem that he can be proud of!) Great to see this channel taking off. I'm positive there is a market for less polluting vehicles.

Living only ten miles from the city centre I don't need a car, but this cycle video caught my eye as an option for those fed up of sitting in the traffic jams that I go sailing past. There must be travelling professionals, who wish to go faster and greener, but are unable or unwilling to pedal with full exertion throughout the day.

I love this man.
I also love that he thinks the “roof” will shield him from rain ☺️

A lifetime ago I studied engineering. Something ignored but hugely important in transport is a ratio. Live load (The Human) to dead load (The vehicle). The single person in a Hummer would be a terrible ratio 80Kg / 2900Kg = 0.028. A person on an electric bicycle would be a fantastic ratio 80Kg / 25Kg = 3.2. It uses energy to move weight. Traveling to work alone in your Hummer is moving the same weight as 28 people going to work on electric bicycles!!!!

This is not only a very valid and useful product for our cities, but also looking great! 👍🏻 Wider bike lanes and we are talking future individual transport!

"Im protected from the weather" but all I see dry very top of the head- everything else will be soaked wet in mild side rain.

The biggest issue with this type of vehicle is that it doesn't really fit into existing infrastructure; not particularly safe or societally acceptable on the road, but too big for the vast majority of bike lanes and paths, and definitely not pedestrian area acceptable. These will really only fit in in small communities, like the type of places that you currently have people going around in golf cart type vehicles.

That thing has to be put in production! You absolutely must make it available!

A plush fully suspended ride, warmer travel due to wind screen and roof, no balance issues at stops, storage room plus a motor so no arriving all sweaty! Lets face it, the roof gives this bike huge benefits over over scooters and motor cycles too. These advantages have huge commercial potential in the area of commuting and shopping. Well done guys.

I love this! Let's all build a community around vehicles like this!
Quiet, no smelly scooter exhaust, stylish, and not so far to fall to the ground if you get into trouble. More visible than a bike, so cars see it.
I like the removable battery: have a fully charged spare at all times.
Go to work and not get sweaty.
Get sunshine and fresh air, and get there quickly.
Too big to easily steal. Fit into small parking spots.
My disabled adult son could ride this safely, and join me on my bike rides, and get a little exercise.
Put Solar on the roof!

Bobby, you need to do more videos on these very light enclosed bicycles, velomobiles, two-wheeled enclosed recumbents and such. Take a look at Cedric Lynch's wonderful enlosed two-wheeler, and think at that scale. THAT IS the future. I'm not sure we will have the resources to produce our glitzy electric automobiles you're always falling for.

Wow, lately I've been absolutely amazed with battery technology and has its come, quite amazing. Really glad and hoping to see more supporting these ideas. I recently just got a Boosted board and love it for transportation.

I love the looks/design of this pedal car and I have seen at least 30 different ones
now on youtube

This vehicle is great. It's the comfortable version of the bike. We should all use these kind of vehicles in the cities. Especially if you take in consideration that most cars have only one man inside in the city.

I like this car very much. it's a pity that such a project did not develop.
