So sorry to see so much devastation. Please be nice to the elephants. We can all work together. May God grant all of us the strength to get through all of these struggles.

They need to show a little more kindness to that elephant. He’s the head rescuer.

Such gentle giants. Often abused and neglected. I hope they are treated well.

And elephants died too. They were drowned in a sanctuary that rescued them from abuse. 😰💔

I saw an elephant rescue in India. Those elephants were treated with a lot of respect. The Mahouts had a special bond with their elephants. The elephants with them until the day either one of them die. They are not hurting them. They all are heroes

That’s one way to do it but treat the elephants as you would want to be treated with respect. They are carrying a lot of weight and they are very smart as well

I did not like seeing the mahout prodding the elephant with his hook. Poor animal.

Elephants are not meant to be ridden:
*Physical design*
Elephants are not physically designed to carry the weight of humans and the howdah (saddle) on their backs. Their spines are not built to support this weight, and the constant strain can lead to permanent spinal damage, deformities, and chronic health issues.
*Training*
Elephants are often taken from the wild and subjected to harsh training and poor living conditions. Trainers may use bullhooks or other torture devices to break their spirits and teach them to obey humans.
*Animal cruelty*
Riding elephants can cause significant animal harm. Many rescued elephants have spine problems and wounds on their backs from carrying heavy loads.
*Ethical concerns*
Elephant riding is ethically problematic. Elephants are supposed to be free in the wild with their families, not carrying humans for human entertainment.

Instead of riding elephants, you can consider visiting ethical elephant sanctuaries or participating in expedition tours to interact with elephants in a more ethical way.
