Why wouldn’t timers & checklists help them with time?

Asking for me, is it possible that one could have executive functioning problems, but not ADHD ? Caused by trauma, childhood neglect and so on ? I know you say you can’t have ADHD and no problems with the EF. So you have ADHD, you have executive functioning delay . It’s a fact . but is the other way around valid ? EF issues, without ADHD ? Thank you so much 😊
I keep telling my therapist i think I have ADHD and she keeps saying no, it’s trauma . Ever since I met my husband and his son and started reading up about ADHD and EF etc, I feel like I got ADHD the inattentive type, I have been looking at all my life since childhood, and how I am and what I am doing today . But I understand self diagnosis is not the way.
