A video without coffee?! Doesn’t seem right! 😂

The fast revving of the S/T is like the Lexus LFA just with a manual 👌

Thanks for this! I’ve been patiently waiting for the first official review in the UK of the new Carrera T by an established reviewer! Even more excited to get my own new 992.2 Carrera T later this month! 😃

I heard you talking about the 911 T a week or so back... haven't stopped looking at them since. I totally get it. People are too focused on BHP, price, model, spec / trim... and not focused enough on the experience and spirit of the car.

For what most people need, a Carrera T would be perfect. If you don't care about the .3 seconds off your lap times or whatever, and you just want to enjoy the experience of driving. You won't be let down. Power being 390hp isn't weak either. Just think, 20 years ago we were blown away that an Audi RS6 had 450hp. Do we need 500+hp? No. We just want it.
If you're in the market for a GT series car, go for the GT's. If you want a fun, engaging drivers car that you can easily daily drive as well, I'd look at the Carrera T.

The part that gets me is the idea that it’s surprising that a “base” 911 is a really great sports car.

A base 911 has been an aspirational sports car for 50 years. It’s only because of social media, and the over exposure to the most special and rare cars that we have begun to think that if it’s not a GT product it’s some humdrum car.

It’s almost like we view a base 911 like a base 3 series or a base Corolla. Every 911 in the line is a heck of a sports car, has been for some time.

Anyways, good on Sam for sharing enthusiasm for the T, much needed reminder that even “base” cars are still special things when you are talking about the likes of a Porsche 911

I think the Carrera T is the best and most sensible choice for enthusiasts who want to really drive their 911 and not baby it. I also love that gorgeous wooden gear knob. It reminds me of my favorite race cars, the Porsche 917 and the 908/03.

Sam is right when he says that many people have speced Ts strangely. When I ordered my 992.1 version I selected very few options. While the Porsche sales rep was obviously trying to push me to buy a whole bunch of options, I left the car alone. I have ended up with the very best sports car I have ever driven proving less is often more.

Am I the only one here who thinks Sam’s body gestures resembles C3PO so very much? 😂

I just wish Porsche put the 4.0 engine from the 718 GTS / GT4 in the Carrera T.

Solid video as always Sam. ST is the “Euro Millions” car, 911 T is the car those of us that work hard can aspire to own.

Nice cars and good review. One thing for me though, once you have had a 911 with rear axle steer you will not want one without it again... MASSIVE difference, you can spin round on a dime, what would be a 3 point turn in one without is round in one and when moving it just keeps the car much more precise and stable in higher speed corners. A great idea and essential for the faster models...

As you can probably guess from my name, I’m partial to the Carrera T. I’m happy I got the ‘24 dot 1 with the analog tachometer and turn key style ignition and 7-speed…the manual without the stickers.

Outstanding. This is the first video of yours that I have ever watched and I thought you did a great job at identifying what was great about both cars (each brilliant) without making the review too much of a direct comparison. Great video. Thanks for sharing.

I’m glad tariffs will help me end my obsession of buying new Porsches.

I'm quite glad to keep my 997.2 c2s with some OEM+ mods .. feels great and analog and smaller. Prices on 911s these days are ridiculous even at retail

Great, honest review. Its refreshing to hear an opinion that is practical and for someone that isnt after cars and coffee kudos but after a driving experience.
