We're inducting our apprentice into the world of Shadow Foam by teaching him how to organise tools for himself. Jonathan has lined up a DeWalt TSTAK and a Makita Makpac to show our Apprentice Dylan the ropes, and demonstrate to you just how quick, easy and robust the Shadow Foam Tool Organisation system is! If our apprentice is able to cut Shadow Foam, then you can too!

If you want to cut 30mm deep just mark the scalpel with tape 30mm from the tip, similar to marking your drill bit for holes.

I would be interested in your thoughts on other recommendations to mark out with a long-nosed white marker before cutting as is recommended on some US sites - especially for newbies.

Also, you have heat cutters - but would be interested if you do a video on using heat cutting instead of knife cutting - but including also the use of what I would describe as soldering iron-type tools to heat and shape the cut material to smooth it out. And maybe if having a heat session also using hot cutters for things like the cut-outs for finger pulls.

Why not use a silver marker instead of scalpel to mark the layout and then cut?

Please!!! It’s not pronounced “dee wolt”, it’s pronounced “da volt”.
It’s really not that difficult and it’s far more polite.
