This is the best entry level SUV no cap

Had one for a few months now……it’s been absolutely brilliant and makes a superb family car. Great technology, great size and a great ride - We can’t fault it 👍

I got one silver metallic last week. I love it.

Nice beard bro! Also did this have heated and cooled seats?

Phenomenal vehicle, try to review the less sporty one with 18in rims, will have a more luxurious ride

How rough or smooth is the ride? I rented a 2020 Audi Q3 recently, and it drove much rougher than my 2021 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid. I was curious if this was due to being a rental and how they take care of it. The cabin was also a little smaller than my Crosstrek and didn't have many features. This X1 looks like maybe the way to go if it drives as smooth as I hope.

Gotta be admit DCT( almost like DSG ) is extremely jerky while in heavily traffic. It would be nice if bmw fit the 8 speed ZF.

yeah, both SavageGeese and The Straight Pipes were giving the x1 negative reviews, all other reviewers were giving the x1 great reviews !

I must say, I’m from Ireland, and mine was 50 thousand EUROS too, and compared to the F48 model (which I also owned) I prefer the new U11 model, it rides better, it’s bigger and way more comfortable I’d say if you fell like it and have the money, but it if your in Europe.

For $50k I cant really think of any features that this is lacking. Maybe a less bumpy ride and more cargo space would be appreciated, but then you’d obviously be looking at a larger more expensive vehicle. I think BMW did really well, and glad to hear your positive thoughts on the DCT.

Good video, Ben. I would take the X1 over the Jeep Compas.

Great review! Are blue or red M brake calipers an option when adding the M Sport package?

How do you compare this to the Q3 - i.e., which do you like better?

$50K seems a little much for an X1, though I'm sure it could be spec'd out a little lower.

Susan and I just acquired a 2023X1. Susan calls it "the Enterprise" after the Star Trek ship. It is comfortable, responsive in steering and acceleration, beautiful in design and overly complicated.. It should come with 8 hours of hands on instructions to get access to all of the hidden features and accessories. This is a very German car; You do what you want but only if you follow it's non intuitive rules.

I wish it had real buttons for climate control and heated seats. Rather than cycle through menus.

I like everything except the display. I like an integrated display. The ones that look like they are just placed there are unattractive to me personally. Also expensive for a 1 series. I’d spend 10k or so more on the X3

The M Sport has a bit rougher ride. 18” wheels is better for this SUV.

Here, the base MSRP is shown as $38, 600. But why are they listed as $39, 100 elsewhere? Why the $500 difference??
Fun and helpful video, btw.👍
