The ignorance of door slammers or door bangers is unbelievable and their habit tends to cause stress for everybody. I can understand the occasional slip-up but frequent or repeated door slamming/banging is very nerve wracking.
I used to give them a demo of how loud it sounds, hoping they will realize their actions, but discovered that it goes right over their heads. They are just not worth the energy.

Can you please turn this into a national campaign for apartments? I have a neighbor that slams their door on purpose because he gets a sick perverted pleasure out of getting a rise out of me. The fact that adults can't understand that they shouldn't slam (or let slam) their doors, especially during the typical sleeping / quiet hours, is absolutely barbaric. There are too many people out there that are just completely obnoxiously rude and inconsiderate and think that it should be everyone else's responsibility to put up with their shit when its you who should not be making a nuisance of yourself to others. There's no reason to slam doors in shared living spaces, grow the fuck up and take some self responsibility.
