Use a screwdriver with a blade that fits the slot better, to avoid chewing up the screw head slot like that.

My 2¢: That closer is oriented wayyy too close to the hinged side of the door meaning that adjustments may be less precise and the closer will close with significantly less force. It should be moved inward a bit (away from the hinges; closer to the center of the door) since the door is only opening 90°.

Nothing wrong with the instructions in the video, just thought I'd point it out.

In my experience, when the latching speed is a adjusted to close it slower it stops latching properly after a few days and then it has to be alerted back to slamming again. Any suggestions anyone?
