This is a follow up to my first video on the Energy Take 5.1 Classic Speaker system. THIS IS NOT A HOW TO. I simply demonstrate how I was able to set up my system for my living space and explain the challenges I had with the solution I found.

Thanks for watching.

Very informative. I was on budget and have been looking for a good (if not great) 5:1 system and after long research I ended up with ET Classic 5:1 and Sony STR-DN 850. I'm in Dhaka, Bangladesh and in this part of the world, good home theater systems are hardly available. So I purchased from amazon USA on a great deal, got those shipped to a friend's sister's residence in NY and my friend is currently visiting USA and will come back day after tomorrow with my staffs. Really excited. Meantime I'm researching as to how to set up the system. This video helped a lot. Thanks.

great setup!! I just bought the Energy Speakers and connected them yesterday. Sounds good, but I will wait for the 50 hour break-in period to reserve my judgement. I did not mount them yet, I am sure I will have questions, but your videos do give me an idea. Thanks!!

Thanks for the video! Quick suggestion, take it or leave it, if you want to use your fireplace and lift the center off the ground, you could possibly measure the rough gap in between the stones on your mantle underneath your TV. Once measured, you can then either sand, carve, cut, or chisel an edge of a flat piece of wood and just "stick it in there". Tolerance would have to be tight, but should work if the depth is good and the wood/stone cut is close, as the speakers don't weigh much. Pro tip - either satin or flat spray paint on the wood and voila! Cheap mod looks pro.

Thanks again

I just bought a Yamaha RX-V377 5.1-Channel A/V Home Theater Receiver and the Energy 5.1 Take Classic Home Theater System. The Yamaha receiver has one subwoofer pre-out, but your Energy speakers has TWO inputs [Line in/Sub in, left is white and right is red]. How do I do the connection to the Yamaha receiver (since the Yamaha receiver has only one subwoofer pre-out)? I was Also  looking at the Pioneer VSX-824-K 5.2 that has Dual Subwoofer Preout is that better?

4 x Satellite speaker - 100 Watt - 115 - 20000 Hz - 8 Ohm, 1 x Center channel speaker - 100 Watt - 110 - 20000 Hz - 8 Ohm, 1 x Active subwoofer - 200 Watt - 33 - 150 Hz... That's a good amount of sound.

The receiver I'm running is an Onkyo TX-NR414 (80 Watt output) May be upgrading soon. Hope that helps. Thnx.

Hello Pablo

I've spent countless hours reviewing 5.1 speakers and AVR's and came to the ET 5.1 and Yamaha RX-V477 but still can't decide because non of these products is sold here in KSA so i will have to order through Amazon and i will pay a minimum of 400$ for shipping only so am hesitating to pay that much while not being sure i will be satisfied. its my first time to set up a home theater, so am confused on which 5.1 or AVR to buy, i give up. So since you already go the Energy Take 5.1 and based on you experience, am seeking your advice on this matter.
Right now my home set up consists of Panasonic ST50 65" Plasma, SAT receiver, PS3, PS4, Xbox one. and my room is 450X550 cm. i know you are not an expert but i believe i can benefit from you.

Thnks

Hey Pablo, how do you connect the middle speaker on the wall using the VideoSecu Universal Satellite Speaker Mounts you used? Or do you use the single hole in the middle of the back of the speakers with one of the mounts or using the two wall mounts holes at the back of the speakers? Thanks.

I liked the idea of the strip to cover the wires. Smart thinking there.

Great advice, What type of receiver do you have? Also I've been looking around and cant seem to find the TOTAL amount of watts this system outputs, How many watts is it? Thanks!

Do you know of any good resources for the speaker 'burn-in' period? Trying to figure out what is best to play, and at what volume level for a similar system. Would appreciate any recommendations.

I just bought your set up and the issue I have is that my receiver is old. Its a Pioneer sx-316 with no LFE or sub woofer connection. It has optical and digital coax and that's it. How do i hook up the subwoofer? I looked everywhere but can't find an answer. If anyone on here or if you know how I can get it to work please let me know. Thanks. Great video BTW.

thanks for your video and help! Could you tell me what kind of cable did you use to connect pre-out from receiver to your subwoofer? Some suggest to buy Y-type RCA cable. Thanks!
