Golden the company have some research done on the subject of different white paints's flexibility showing that pure titanium white is extremely flexible that won't crack at all even after bend over a very thin stick, which is very impressive. And the paint tinted with zinc cracks easily. Zinc white reacts with oil to produce soap and wraps oil inside thus oxidization is prevented therefore the cracking happening.

These colors/materials videos are so helpful! I appreciate you sharing so much of what you’ve learned, I wouldn’t be able to afford painting if I was shooting in the dark with the paints I buy

Very helpful information. I was considering trying zinc white, but after this, I'm definitely going to steer clear. Thank you!

What it looks like is that the titanium white is cooler (bluish appearance) and de-saturates the other color when tinting. The lead white instead appears warmer (orangey appearance), but more than that I'd think it's that it does not de-saturate the other color when tinting.
