Why is UNICORSE so annoying??? (Bluey Theory Season 3)

Gday ya cheeky dogs here is a theory on why Unicorse is so annoying in bluey season 3 and makes chilli mad (aka bandit does)

I am a big fan of bluey and with season 3 airing in Australia, I thought I would do a breakdown of every episode with a small review, some spoilers, and any bluey theories that might pop up. Bluey season 1 and 2 hit disney plus two months after airing in Australia so hopefully, all of season 3 will be out for everyone soon!

Bandit is such a beast; he goes above and beyond to support his Wife and Kids to the point he almost drives his Wife nuts!

Also, I just LOVE Unicorse's catchphrase!

It also bears mentioning that winding Bluey up is how Bandit gets Bluey to sleep; he does it in Fruit Bat and Sleepytime. It plays into this very subtle, recurring theme of how Bandit effortlessly gets Bluey, while Chilli sometimes struggles with it.

Initially, this episode here felt like the episode where Unicorse is funny but unbearable. But after hearing your analysis, I see this as the episode where Unicorse is funny, helpful and heartwarming

"Unicorse" was already one of my favorite episodes- even though I really didn't "get" what Bandit was trying to do, I found it hilarious! Now that you've explained his motives, it's definitely my favorite!

One thing I found odd was the story chili was reading. A story about barefoot dogs even though the all the dogs are barefoot

Maybe I should do this with my husband as he’s the one that sometimes struggles with not getting frustrated with our three year old when he babbles to himself some nights as he lays in bed

OK but can we take a minute to appreciate Bandit's puppeteering skills??

I always thought of it differntly. That Bluey has trouble paying attention/not letting her mind wander, which can make it hard to lay still and fall asleep, she keeps thinking of things she wants to get up and do. They are "practicing" paying attention even though something very distracting is happening around her by ignoring Unicorse.

I never noticed this. Bandit is my favorite character. He is the best.

My fiancé has a Unicorse sticker on his PC and yes it’s the catch phase “ Annnnd why should I care?”

This is probably unrelated, but I remember a line from a documentary about Fred Rogers (of "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood" fame) which said that he would use the annoying puppet character Lady Elaine Fairchild to say things and express emotions he wasn't able to as himself. Perhaps playing Unicorse could be a form of catharsis for Bandit.

It's cool to hear this theory. I normally skip the unicorse episodes (unicorse creeps me out) so hadn't played that much attention to the meaning in the episodes.
