“What’s worth more than a Bishop?”
Me, activating my giga big brain:
“Two Bishops.”

One of the hardest things to do as a trainer or a coach is to ‘leave space for silence’. It’s so tempting to fill that emptiness. BUT you give your trainees the time to think which is the most valuable thing you can do. Very impressive.

Damn chat is toxic. People who have probably been playing the game for at least over a year want to talk all big and bad about somebody who is just learning is such a crappy attitude.

I would love a video like this with a higher rated player where you both talk through your thoughts.

As a low ELO player, this was great to watch.

Watching you look so happy and/or proud the whole video made me totally forget it was almost an hour long. Always a great time seeing you in your element doing what you love to do, man.

I love the fact that Gotham isn’t telling him what to do, but he’s guiding him to make better options for his(myth) development and not just telling him ‘so now you want to do this move’. He’s making myth think about the move he makes and what other moves he could make that could be better, while still showing him without shoving it in his face. I would love chess with a teacher like Gotham

As a high school coach, videos like these are super helpful to me. I have a lot of beginners on my team, and watching people like yourself and Hikaru coach beginners and bring them up really helps give me ideas of how to become a better coach. Thank you for sharing lessons like these. This type of "let's play a game and talk through thought processes" coaching style will be very helpful to my students.

"And what am I gonna do to it?"
"Gobble it up"
"And what will you do to me?"
"Gobble you up"
😂😂😂

Man, i wish all my school teachers were as motivating and encouraging as levi. I love how he lets people make their own plan and then give them feedback instead of just telling them "ok, repeat after me..." he looks genuinely proud when his "students" find the right moves.

The best thing about you is that you are teaching beginners to intermediate like a real teacher

Making an EPIC bishop move, and then calling a pawn a rook, is everything I've ever wanted to experience in my short chess journey. Well played Myth!

Another amazing video! As a beginner myself this video really helped me look at the board differently. Thanks again!

52:07 "Who's gonna win the pawns?" "i'm gonna win the pawns" xD Levy was officially recognized as his coach in that moment.
