The royal enclosure was the heart of Hampi which not only was the residential area of the royal family of the empire but it was also a place buzzing with endless activities such as music, dance competitions, sports, Navratri festival approximately 500-600 years back. In this video we visited the huge dance stage which was meant for organizing dance competitions during the Navratri festival with beautiful carvings engraved all around the base of the stage. Next we visited the secret chamber which lay hidden for hundreds of years till the time the Archeaological Survey of India discovered it in the 1980s, we then saw the king's durbar or the audience hall meant for passing judgements and the Pan Supari Bazaar which used to be a buzzing trade center for precious gems and several other stuffs.
