Wuthering Waves Taking LEGAL ACTION Against LEAKS !

Wuthering Waves developers are finally taking action against the overwhelming amount of leaks that is going on for unreleased wuthering waves content. lets talk about it.

If someone signed an NDA and then leaks stuff from the test server (I assume this is where leaks usually come from) it's a clear violation of a contract and there should be legal consequences. The problem is that people, especially free-to-play players, feel entitled to early information so they can plan their accounts, and people wanting to get views on social media are therefore incentivised to spread leaked information. While I understand why people want this info early, it should ultimately be up to the developers how and when this information gets out. This has also become the culture of gacha gamers at this point, so the practice of leaking has already been normalised, and people will resent the developers for trying to deal with the issue.

Realistically I don't see how Kuro Games can actually prevent leaks short of only doing in-house testing (which causes other issues), but I guess taking some action might scare some people off and force leak distributors to maintain a lower profile. Personally, I'd prefer leaks to be less pervasive. I try to ignore leaks, but I also follow several Wuthering Waves content creators, and YouTube's algorithm is happy to give me thumbnails and video titles containing leaked info on stuff. It's impossible to try to engage with a community around a gacha game while also avoiding all leaks at this point.

to stop the leaks the devs must stay one step ahead of the leakers. They have to step up their marketing and create more hype by sharing about the future characters bit by bit in a frequent fashion. instead of just revealing a splash art only without any prior notice, let us see their roles, lores, elements, weapon designs, what we need to farm, 5 or 4 stars. they could reveal these ever the course of days, weeks and give people things to talk about. they could also show animation with a warning saying that it is still work in progress. what they have to figure out is when to do these so that it does not hurt the current patch.

Stories, echoes, new areas, and events shouldn't be leaked. There is no benefit to the players to receive that information before its official release. 😅 But who am I kidding, leakers don't care about the game, they only care about themselves.

My wild opinion is that leaks is actually good BUT within boundary.
For anything that's coming out from 1 to 2 months ahead should be fine as it prepares players for ascension materials and so on.
Anything further than that must be kept a surprise for the developers AND for the players themselves.

Wuwa leaks actually slowly diminished my interest with the game. It's kinda hard to avoid these leaks since they're all over youtube and other social media platforms.

Kuro should take control of the leaks themselves, and reveal their content early and/or give regular "sneak peaks" ^_^ A contract is a contract, though. Always read the shit you sign.

we are happy to see leaks of new resonator animation and kit, but from developers or company perspective, it's hurt to see your own works get disclose illegal way.
To prevent this happen, may be they should release teaser before those beta players leak it. idk man

Kuro has already done/ is still doing the "official" PGR Beta Showcases in Rexlent channel. So i think They know for sure how to up the hype for future patches, but also keep the leak level under the control. But this 1.3++ WW leaks, dude that's so wild. It's flooding all over the place.

Yeah one thing i find it about wuwa is the amount of leaks that are just ridiculous

For me it is hard to decide what I think about leaks.
Most likely I dont need and even want to see them, but always end up watching at minimum kits and animations.

character leaks are fine. all other else should be avoided so not to kill the hype
