I think I went through something like that at Ft.Lauderdale. It freaked me out a little

I worked ground crew for years. These pilots can come in sideways to compensate for the winds and straighten the aircraft last few seconds just before landing. Real cowboys!

I was on a flight like this coming into Vegas.. Didn’t land it on the first attempt. Went back up and circled around - we got two landings for the price of one. 😂
