Lovely Beetle, I have a RHD 1974 1303S in moss green metallic with the cream cord upholstery and wood effect dash, they drive so nicely and always turn heads

I know this is a really old video but I was hoping you could respond. I have the same car basically, but mine had pilot seats with headrests! Maybe it is because it is a 1600? Also my main question is, at 2:22 what is that thing on the dash? Is it for you to keep track of your trips? Was that an original accessory? Mine has a black plastic piece there, if that is the intended piece for that hole, I'd love to look for it and get one. Do you know what it is called or where can I find it? Thanks!
