Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is based on the years Captain Christopher Pike manned the helm of the U.S.S. Enterprise. The series follows Captain Pike, Science Officer Spock, Number One and the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise in the years before Captain Kirk boarded the starship, as they explore new worlds around the galaxy. In season three, when we reconnect with the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise, still under the command of Captain Pike, they face the conclusion of season two's harrowing encounter with the Gorn. But new life and civilizations await, including a villain that will test our characters’ grit and resolve. An exciting twist on classic Star Trek, season three takes characters both new and beloved to new heights, and dives into thrilling adventures of faith, duty, romance, comedy, and mystery, with varying genres never before seen on any other Star Trek.

Imagine they used these production values and budget on the kind of Star Trek show we all loved and miss? It's like the showrunners are just trying to mock their own franchise by 'going meta' with the parody Star Trek set in this trailer. They literally want to burn Star Trek down - they hate it so much and it shows. I hope SkyDance will have the good sense to stop this sci-fantasy garbage and go back to making Star Trek that was for deep-thinkers and lovers of true sci-fi.
