I live in California (in the redwood forests) and experienced those fires firsthand. Saw small communities and whole towns wiped from the map, even my childhood hometown. It's strangely validating to hear Mr. Creeps narrate a story that even briefly acknowledges them. Weird thing is, after those fires, instances where I'd hear and see strange things among the burn zones increased dramatically. Makes me wonder if it wasn't only people and normal wildlife that were displaced by the destruction and devastation.
