As a grade 9 student, i already know this.

U basically find the area of the whole circle (10²pi) minus the inner circle (8²pi)

Its even worse if u have to solve for the area using the pi (3.14)

Peter has been tasked to draw a helicopter landing spot on the tarmac. It consists of a 16 meter wide circle, for which he needed 64 cans of white color. To finish he needs to paint a red ring around the outer border of the white circle. How many cans of color will he need to buy if the outer ring should be 2 meter wide?

A ring has a width of 2? On what measure? From one individual outer point to its closest inner point? Why? You could measure from an outer point to its exact opposite point to say it’s “width.” Shit question
