Rolling in is the best way to show everybody at the park you're real

30 year old beginner here. Did my first couple of roll ins yesterday on a quarter. Was scared shitless at first, bailed a couple of times and ate shit but i did it!

The bump on the coping is something I would’ve never thought of thank you

DAmn it's hard to be 65 and trying to do things that used to be second nature. But what fun.

I think roll-ins are sick and they give you a unique ability to be able to seamlessly bridge the gap betweein going from flatground/street skating to transition obstacles within the same line. That being said, rolling in psyches me out and I'm gonna play it safe and just continue to drop in lol

I want to learn this! I hate dropping in, it's awkward, lacks flow and got no style. So far I have been practicing going in through quick axle grind stalling, but have not jumped the coping yet.

Did both fs and bs today! Frontside much easier. On the backside first commit slip out straight to back and helmet to wood. Took three tries before I nailed it. A guy working out nearby looked real worried but I did it! Thanks

Awesome channel and lessons for me and my daughters! They convinced me to start skateboarding as well. Terrified at 40, but you're never to old to have some fun. Thanks You!

I'm so glad you made these videos. This is the shit you learn, but no one really teaches you. Can't wait to try this at the park.

I’ve been so scared to try this, but this vid makes so much sense and now I’m excited to start practicing roll ins!

That is an awesome combination of explaining, footage and editing so that you can watch exactly what you're talking about as you explain it. Great work Josh.

I learned roll ins going straight then front side. Still haven’t gone backside. I’ve had a few hangups but always been able to bail safely. Best thing to do is to commit and you got it

Nice video, I like the practice on a crack suggestion. On the roll in where should weight/pressure on the board go after your back wheels hit the copping?
