Tarkov's Next Wipe: Are You Ready?

With the latest Tarkov wipe coming to a close in mid 2021, it’s time to start preparing for what is to come in 12.11!

Today we’ll briefly discuss what a wipe is, how it functions and what you might expect in terms of events, but more importantly we’ll be going through how you can prepare for it - both right now in gaining valuable experience, and making a plan for when the wipe itself hits the servers.

Things to think about include short term goals such as getting to level 10 to unlock the flea market, what do you keep along the way for quest completion, potential weapons to use early when resources are scarce and items that will sell for crazy prices early on in the post wipe economy for both the hideout and trader progression.

Contrary to popular opinion, wipe Thursday is definitely not a given! Best of luck to you all when it finally arrives.

real shit, ive always found the game more fun not running meta gear. I've always ran lightly modded ak's, sks, hunters, always running low level helmets with high richochet. and im constantly running t4 armored rigs. hk's and m4's while spamming etg's and hard rushing doesnt feel like tarkov to me. id rather spend 70k on a gun build with high tier ammo

Thank you for the advice. I think that "try out something you're not good at" is some of the best advice ever. I ended last wipe with 11 mil and a bunch of gear that I never got to use. So for me that means . . . get better at pvp.

just started playing a month ago getting into this game so late into a wipe was definitely challenged, but so much more worth getting in early in my opinion. where as yes I was going up against more kitted people, I also learned tactics to keep me safe and at a much slower pace. As I'm sure most people was going in for PVP, but when wipe happens everyone will be going in for the loot.
