After 10 years playing with the Warthog, I've bought the Wing wing Orion 2. It's really an incredible Hotas. Probably the best of all. Quality is insane.

The advantage of WinWing is it's modularity: you can get a whole range of alternate grips for the Orion as well as a force-sensor upgrade for the stick making it more immersive than the TM stick.

I'm a Viper guy and I'm really looking forward to this release, hoping it's a good one. Idk if I'd buy it, since getting a F18 or Warthog one would be much better for if I want to fly anything else instead of limiting myself to 1 throttle axis, but I might

Many of us have investments in our TM warthogs like FSSB base or slew sensors, and I personally have a very complex TARGET logic for over a decade that I can’t live without. This is a perfect upgrade for me and I’m buying day one. (And I know it will be distributed worldwide and available because it’s TM. That’s their special superpower ). I’m very stoked

Companies like WinWing are making Thrustmaster up their game and that is a good thing. Any idea on the price yet? I already have the winwing Orion 2 stick and throttle but they also make an F-16 addon for both and I am thinking of getting the throttle addon as I want to fly mainly my F-16 in DCS.

Dear TM, it's too late. I've been waiting for YEARS for a F-16 Throttle. Now i bought a winwing orion2 and i'm very happy.

tight/smooth force you can change i think, it's haven't be only tight or smooth... friction is one of function that's just have to be modeled... in x65f that really old stuff this things modeled you can regulate it on the bottom, not on fly, but before use you can adjust it whatever force you want to use. probably that both models have same

It looks fantastic for Viper fans, takes me back to the old TM Cougar days. At least we don’t have to code our profiles in Foxy any more lol.

Yep. Buying this for sure. Now if they would release an AH-64 collective and stick and a F-18 throttle I would have all the controls I wanted.

Looks like a genuinly good piece of gear. It'll be geart to see some teardowns to see what's under the hood!

I think I will go with Winwing for the F-16 throttle and stick. Thrustmaster is late to the game!

Great video! This new TM throttle looks a bit toyish though.

The Slap Switch is cool. Unfortunately, not cool enough to drop $500 when I already have the WinWing Orion. I also like the 1-1 (for the most part) knobs compared to the WW. Not for $500 though lol. I bought my first Cougar in 2001 and unfortunately had to buy many more over the years along with Hall sensor mods to keep them going (RIP CubPilot). I think I had a total of 6. Lots of Falcon 4.0 and later BMS. I also have had 2 Warthogs sticks because the wiring is so thin it eventually breaks. The throttles have held up well though. To date I’ve not had a single issue with the Orion throttle apart from the sketchy software messing with DCS in the background. This has since been fixed. So, unless something blows up on the Orion I’m gonna pass on the Viper. For now anyway 😂 it’s definitely sexy looking. Lastly, the Orion was like $400 shipped from China in 4 days…

TM really needs to develop a new stick. WinWing and Virpil are winning on that one. Just my opinion. Thank you for the review. I subscribed.

Nice vid :) ! This new throttle look pretty good. Even if the price is also little unexpected :D

Seriously... been waiting forever wanting the TM quality and got the WW because figured it wasn't coming. A solid product but definitely doesn't have the same feel as the TM Warthog series

To go AB in the Viper, you push the throttle forward until it stops, then use the pinky switch to flip the throttle and then push into AB?
