This is a genuine response from a guy who knows the science but also relies on his spirituality in tough times. Total support for this guy and while not religious myself I’ll pray with him, and hope this does not cause him any difficulty with his managers.

He said he is trusted to much....I would trust this guy who stops to pray over the lives in the direct path of this storm....We need to praise God for this man.

That's my meteorologist! He's the best there is! So many times he calls the tornados before the weather service, by several minutes! Ain't no telling how many lives he's actually saved! God Bless Matt Labhaun

I was watching this last night shook. I saw people on the live chat saying they were in Armory and then Armory got hit and as an onlooker that was hard to digest even. Well wishes from Vermont, guys. Really. 😢

We need more people willing to speak their hearts for their communities. So many news people on tv hype up bad situations. God bless him and the people of Mississippi ❤

It’s really scary to see a seasoned meteorologist be brought to such fear & apprehension. He knows how to read a radar map like a book & all he saw death & destruction headed for a highly populated area. That monster did its work on Mississippi. Big prayers for all the families & businesses affected. ♥️♥️♥️

No one died. Wanted to correct because it's important. Without his broadcast and prayer that I believe caused a chain reaction, I believe they were saved. Cuz when ur weatherman is praying for ya, ya know it's serious!!

On the previous scan, it was taking a more northerly trend to only scrape Amory but it turned out to not be a slight impact. He then switches to the debris tracker which shows the very strong, defined signature in dark blue. At points during this storm, it lifted off the ground (at which point it wouldn't be registering debris on surface level) but unfortunately this evil storm hit several small towns squarely with near full force. An official in Amory said the whole North side is just gone. The debris was sent 16000ft. The debris from rolling fork was sent to 30000+

Yes, my local TV station, WTVA, has an extremely nice and caring weatherman. 💗

Matt Laubhan knows a dangerous Tornado and a bad situation. This is not his first rodeo. His weather station had to take cover one time when a Tornado landed in Tupelo. He rallied for the staff to get to the basement staying near the camera still warning people to get to shelter yelling “multi-vortex tornado.”

God bless him for caring enough to let a prayer out ❤

I would be so scared if I was watching the weather and saw a tornado hitting my house and even the weather man was scared 😭

We need more caring, compassionate, Christians in our country. This was heartbreaking and my continued prayers for all those affected by this tragedy.

What makes it worse is this was an Ef4 and it was at night, and that unfortunately, people died.

I live across the line in Alabama but Matt is my go to if weather is coming in from the south and west.
