or maybe your fan cranking up is a sign of thermal throttling. clean your shit. do a simple reinstall of windows after you do a cleanup of the PC, get up to date everything. and more than likely youll be fine.

Using JS to mine crypto? That seems very unlikely. As a senior developer for online-apps including in-browser games, getting the browser to even access the right GPU is near impossible. JS is also slow as ass.

Ads serving mining software seems very unlikely as I don't imagine the amount they pay to have them served could get recovered from the extremely measly amounts.

Would be good if you guys made a video on something like this though in more detail. Would be interesting to see it applied to see if it is actually viable and not just some fear-mongering junk.

I have been getting high temps and fans going very fast on my laptop from the start (fresh from manufacturing), but it can run anything at max graphics 60 fps. I checked task manager while idle, everything is normal. Do I have a dell-planted cryptominer on my laptop or did dell just forget to put on the thermal paste?
