Dangerous drivers convicted

Two dangerous drivers have been disqualified from driving following submission of dash cam footage from ambulance service colleagues.

On Sunday 25 August, the crew of a liveried ambulance were driving along the A133, in Clacton-on-Sea when they were overtaken by two vehicles, obviously travelling in excess of the road limit.

The blue Audi and a black Ford Focus drove on the wrong side of the road, into oncoming traffic, and both caused vehicles in either direction to take evasive action to avoid a serious collision, as seen in the footage.

It was estimated they were travelling at over 100 mph.

Both men pleaded guilty to dangerous driving.
